Nicholas “Nick” Sarris is the Managing Partner of JML Law’s Los Angeles office and has been practicing employment law for the entirety of his career. Nick began his career with JML Law, representing employees, and subsequently transitioned to representing management in employment litigation. After nearly a decade of representing management as an associate and partner at two national law firms, Nick returned to representing employees and joined JML Law as a Partner in 2017.
During his career, Nick has first-chaired numerous arbitrations and trials, resulting in favorable verdicts for his clients, and has published appellate decisions to his credit. Some of Nick’s recent accomplishments include:
- Lead counsel in a 2-week jury trial in Los Angeles Superior Court resulting in a $7,100,000 verdict (whistleblower claims).
- $3,000,000 confidential settlement in a sexual harassment case.
- $1,000,000 confidential settlement in a sexual harassment case.
- Lead counsel in a 1-week arbitration in Los Angeles resulting in a $450,000 verdict for a short-term employee (disability discrimination and related claims).
- Lead counsel in a 6-week multi-party jury trial in Santa Barbara Superior Court, resulting in a favorable verdict for his client and a complete defense of cross-claims asserted against his client (breach of contract and related claims).
Nick enjoys spending time with his wife and four children outside work, surfing, snowboarding, rock climbing, and hiking. Nick is also an avid, albeit mediocre, trail runner and triathlete, having completed numerous ultramarathons and full-distance Ironman triathlons.
