Emily graduated with a B. A. in Communications from The Master’s University (formerly “The Master’s College), and later earned an A.A. in Paralegal Studies from College of the Canyons. Prior to attending law school, Emily also attended graduate school at Talbot School of Theology.
Emily earned her J.D. from Southwestern Law School in 2023. While in law school, Emily externed for the Honorable Stuart M. Rice in Los Angeles Superior Court, and also externed for the Honorable Ronald A. Clifford II with the United States Bankruptcy Court, Central District. Emily was one of the inaugural recipients of the Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum’s Neiter Fellowship, and was also a recipient of Southwestern Law School’s “Public Service Program” award – an award that is given to students who volunteer more than 75 hours of pro bono work at legal non-profits during their time in law school.
Prior to attending law school, Emily worked as a paralegal with Inner City Law Center – a nonprofit law firm located on Skid Row in downtown Los Angeles – where she worked on the Homeless Veterans Project and assisted unhoused veterans obtain disability benefits from the Veterans Administration.
Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and friends, is actively involved in church, loves being outdoors, traveling, and trying new restaurants.
